Hi,

I'm looking to buy a USB Bluetooth dongle for my T68i, and until now was looking at the MSI adaptor.

However, I've recently come across this one, which is cheaper: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=46391

It's obviously a re-badged product, but I can't recognise it as anything I've seen before.

So, can any of you possibly take a look at and identify its real brand name, as I'm reluctant to buy it without knowing if it has updated drivers and compatibility issues or not.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Do you reckon this dongle is worth getting over the MSI, as it's only £8 cheaper?

In terms of quality and compatibility, is it worth the extra?

Can anyone help me please?

I bought this dongle from ebuyer and have had mixed results with it.
The dongle itself seems to work fine, but I have had problems setting it up and getting the ericsson software to consistently connect to my T68.

The setup instructions and guide are non existent. I eventually realised through trial and error that I had to select com ports in the Blue Manager software that comes with it.
The Blue Manager software that comes with it was very poor - practically beta release. I downloaded an updated version which functioned the same but was at least finished better (help and about links worked).
The problem I have is that though the Blue Manager software recognisedthe T68 as being connected, after two or 3 connections the ericsson software refused to connect.
Reinstalling fixed this for the next few connections and then it went wrong again! I then downloaded the tecom drives as suggested here and they work well. They see the dongle and show the phone as connected, all the ericsson software worked fine to start with but as usual has now stopped seeing the phone!

Can anyone tell me how to overcome this please?

your best bet would be to download the tecom drivers for there dongle off there web site.or try a serach on esato as i got a link to download them.
I have the same dongle and agree the blue manager software is crap just uninstall it and get the tecom drivers and software.
i have this and not had a problem using it for syncing tranfering etc

My bluetooth dongle is this one

The model number is the same, the design is the same BUT I don't have the Tecom drivers given with the item nor the Tecom writing on the dongle...

What do you guys think?

the tecom drivers dont come with the dongle they are for another dongle but its hardware is just about the same so they work.
try them just uninstall the ones your using and put the tecom ones on you will find they are far better
