I would also like to do that but find I can not. It fails every time.

I understand from idle chatter and the Rogers data help line (most of them whom appear to be morons) that Rogers AT&T in Canada simply does not have that support enabled [implemented?]

I find that rather strange, however. All the T68i hype does not appear to take into account Rogers AT&T implentation shortcomings.

I would really be interested in knowing if Rogers has plans to get this going at anytime in the future.

Has anyone heard anything or know anything more about this ???

You can do it! But it isn't easy! I found on here someone had posted the proper info and settings to access hotmail accounts. I can check my hotmail now but I have to change some settings in my phone back and forth as I also use the picture messaging feature.

I did a bunch of digging on this when I bought my T68i last October... finally got Rogers to hook me up with a Sony Ericsson rep (Matthew) in Vancouver, as they couldn't figure out what I was trying to do... Rogers only seems to understand email as an SMS feature... ie send an SMS... they don't know the T68i well enough to know about the email features.

So... what I finally found out is that you need to ask for the Portage Plus, to allow your phone to act as a modem for your PC... you can also find this listed on the Rogers site as a Data Access Plan. Works well, in that it allows you to check email on your phone, as well as use your phone as a modem.

The bad news is that this service STARTS at $20 Cdn a month for 1.5 megabytes... cost prohibitive, I'd say.

So my work around has been to use a combination of SMS, wireless alerts through mobile.msn.ca, and MMS features with an account from www.nowmms.com (free). There isn't any additional Rogers plans to pay for this way.

Hope this helps...
