I have recently purchased a t39m and am having probs with sms - namely when a message is received the display does not give me the name of the sender, just the number. As I have 103 numbers in the phone and haven't memorised them all I don't know who the message is from! this never happened with my t18 ,t28, and t65. Is it something I have/haven't done? do I need to upgrade the software? can somebody help!?!

i think this is a firmware bug in the early versions- mine did the same, but afaik an upgrade should cure it.

Same thing happened to me on ver. R2K, an upgrade to R4A fixed it.

cheers for the info guys - have now made arrangements for a firmware upgrade at the weekend, but other t39 owners out there thinking about the same upgrade be careful! I got a list of local ericsson service centres from ericsson customer service. The first one I tried said it would cost me £25:00 for the upgrade, the second one said it would cost me £5:87! now which do you think I'm going to go for............?
