I know someone who has a T68i - she traded her old phone in for a refurbished T68i, but T-Mobile forgot to do a master reset on the T68i before sending it to her. This would not be a problem, except for the fact that the previous owner programmed in a phone lock code other than the default. Naturally, she doesn't know what this code is in order to perform a full reset. Is there any way she can bypass this code and do a master reset herself without having to waste time sending it back to T-Mobile to have them do it?

I did a search on this, but I don't have time to wade through 3000 posts right now. Any help would be really appreciated.

ok, i believe there is an alternate solution.

on your phone enter "#05#"
this will give you a prompt to enter the PUK Code. This code can be found by calling T-mobile. I am sure you they must have a 1800 phone number. Call them and explain your situation. if they are kind enough, they will give you the PUK code. You can also check the box (if you got one) for stickers inside with the PUK code. Once you have this PUK code, you can enter it. This will enable you to reset your password. After you have put in the PUK, it will ask you for a New Pin. Enter the a new PIN (any numbers you wish) and press YES. It will ask you to enter it once again. That way you will be able to reset your phone lock.

The puk code is for simlocks. When you forget your simcode this is the only way! When you \"forget\" the phone code you will have to send the phone to t-mobile. There may be a way to reset the phone without doing that, but it will be far more advanced. Good luck This message was posted from a T68i

I had the same problem. I reckoned that majority of people would use the day and month of their birthday (2710 = 27th October). So one Saturday afternoon I set about inputting dates from 0101 through to 3112. Just my bastard luck for the previous owner to be born on the 19th of December!!! This message was posted from a T68i
