My mate had a Nokia 8310 with water damage, he had dropped it in a glass of orange!
He claimed on his house insurance, got a new one.
I then told him to sit the 8310 on the radiator... voila... he now has two 8310s!!!

Yeah, home insurance should cover it. You'll have to ring them up to make sure that individual items are covered up to £500 or more.
HSBC home contents covers it - I have it and rang them.
