I know Sprint PCS has an unlimited data plan for $10 a month, but it's only on their 1xrtt network (think I have that right), not GPRS. I've seen some plans in Canada that are pretty reasonable, but they're in...Canada, and I'm in Chicago, so it doesn't do me much good. T-mobile's sidekick has some decent unlimited gprs plans too, but apparently those are somehow limited to just the sidekick.

I'm hoping, really hoping, that the p800+opera spurs some companies to get serious about gprs pricing - I'm tired of this $20 for 5 megs, and $5 a meg after that nonsense. It kills the possibility of surfing the net via a mobile. I'm replacing my phone in 1.5 to 2.5 months, and whatever carrier has reasonably priced gprs (if any) will have my vote.

what you could do, is get someone in Canada to get the Fido unlimited GPRS package for you. This package costs $50 Canadian + $ 6.95 Service fee + 15% tax = $65.49 Canadian for unlimited access.

Fido's unlimited coverage is inludes service in the states also.

Check if your city is on the map. Now that you have someone (you know or is related to you) subcribing for this package, ask him to send you the PCI card. You can now surf in USA using Fido. All you have to do is make arrangements to pay this person.

BTW, i think CDN $65.49 = US $ 45.00

I have a cousin, in NJ and i know he does this. He finds it cheaper than gettin a package from one of the local providers. Atleast for now.
