Okay, first up, I apologise for posting this, but I really need some help.

I HAVE done searches on the forum looking for an answer to this, but I cant seem to find out how...

..You know those Orange startup and shut-down screens on the P800? How do you delete them? I've read the posts saying you find them through the PC file manager and delete them, but whenever I open the PC Suite and try and look for them, all I get are the default directories Audio, Images, Documents, Video and Other, and the startup screen files arent in any of those.

Any clues as to where I can find those blasted MP4s would be gratefully appreciated, and once again, I apologise for having to post about this when its been discussed so many times, I think its just me being thick that I cant find it in my searches.

Cheers!

Ok, u do u it with filemanager !!!

U can download filemanagerdemo from www.my-symbian.com and it is under download section... after u downloaded that piece of software... go back to the other topics which tell u how to delete the open/shutdown animations of orange... and use filemanager to do this...

You need to get hold of File mgr (for PC or for P800) which will allow you to see ALL of the files stored on the phone. The supplied PC suite only allows you to see certain directories.

File manager for the P800 is available from:
http://www.ericsson.com/mobilityworld/

PC File Mgr for the P800 is available from:
http://my-symbian.com/uiq/applications/applications.php?faq=17&fldAuto=61

http://sep800.mine.nu/ has some MP4 avialable to download.

Is there a Filemanager included with the PC Suite included on the CDs that came with the phone? I did not install from the CDs, because it was version 1.0. Instead I downloaded the 1.1.1 version from Sonyericsson. I can partially sync (no calendar however), but I found no File Manager. Instead I had to download the Demo you mentioned to be able to upload music to my phone.

Thanks!
