Hey, is there a reason why all midi ringtones I imported into my p800 sound much lower than the ones that come default with the phone? these are from all different sites on the net, so I don't know why they all are usually much lower than original ones, is there any setting (besides ring volume cuz thats on hi) that can help me higher the volume? or are there any programs possibly for pc that do this? like all midi ringtones are consistently low during preview and playback when phone is ringing.

dont worry its not your P800 playing them wronge or anything like that just when the midi ringtones are made they are userly made for phones with much smaller memory and the quality of them will be lower so not to take up memory on phones most ringtones for phones (midi) are about 2 - 55KB but then why dont u just play a song as a ringtone?

(must be wav format NOT MP3 as yet)

Midi sound softer in P800. This cause by the way most of the sites encode the MIDI file in lower volume. Well, you can increase the MIDI volume by re-encode it with higher volume. In case if you're interested try PSMPLAYER. It allows you to change the volume for each individual channels.

If you go to http://www.ne.jp/asahi/phs/phs/psmplayer/main.html and look carefully, there is an english version to download.

Also, I think WinAmp will handle making the conversions you are looking for. Available off of Download.com. Very powerful Software. You may need to add a plug-in though...
