I do really wonder that too because lots of people are selling 64 and 128MB Magic Gate DUO's at EBay. But in my country neither Sony nor SE knows the answer for this subject

The P800 does not support ATRAC3 but the Magic Gate Duo works fine on the P800 as normal memory.

but the magicgate version has an build in copyright protection right? so you can only download pictures and nothing else (video mp3) in them...
i am not for sure but if this is correct than mg ms duo will suck big time

The MG Duo supports everything that the normal MS Duo does. Only difference is that the MG has an extra copyright protection for supported devices. If the device doesn't have this copyright protection thingy, it'll just be ignored and function just like a normal MS instead.

I have a 64 MB MagicGate Duo in my P800. I have mp3's and videos on it and THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE from the ordinary MS Duo that came with the phone.
The rumours that the MagicGate doesn't work with the P800 usually comes from people that hasn't tried but "think so".
