Hello, all

I've just completed installing the BMW (retrofit) Bluetooth kit in my MY2003 5er. I am very impressed with the functionality. Not only can I control the phone via the MID and steering wheel controls, but it automatically hoovered all of my T68i's phone book into the car. My T39 has to be manually loaded. Has anyone else on the Board played around with the functionality? I'm wondering what else I can do. It's supercool, to be sure.

See my posting at http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/e39/forum.php?postid=1914163&page=7

Cheers.

I don't know the ins and outs of what models the retro fit kit is available for, but I know that for E39 5er, it starts somewhere in 2001.

Have you been able to pair your T68i with both a bluetooth headset and the car kit ? I am using a Motorola bluetooth car kit with my T39m and they make BMW's car kit I believe. Whenever I pair either the HBH-15 or the car kit it replaces the previous device. Have you been able to do it ??

(The T39i recognises the car kit as a headset profile)

thanks,
Scott.

any idea if it will work on the P800? I'd heard mention of problems with that phone. I'm getting a Z4 in a few weeks and would really love bluetooth integration with my P800.

Re scott's post - yes I've paired the T68i to multiple devices. Motorola does not make the BMW kit; Visteon does. I also have paired my )

Re P800 - no clue but cannot imagine why not. I hope so, since I'll probably pick one up shortly. Or you can pop over and pair it to see.
really love bluetooth integration with my P800.

Yeah BT 4 life. I have not seen the Bimmer version but I have one installed in my car. Mine is Parrot CK 3000, it is the bomb. Works seemlessly with my T68m.

Will the BMW integrated carkit work with multiple phones at the same time? As in more than one occupant with their own Bluetooth-enabled phone.

Thanks.

Unlikely. There is only one audio system for telephony in the car.
