Everybody,

I have a T300 and have tried almost everything (I think) to get the email function working. I finally contacted T-Mobile Netherlands and they say they the T-Mobile network does not support the email function!!! Is this the case on T-Mobile worldwide?
Is there anyway I can get around this??
Any tips are welcome
Thanks.

If you visit www.softhome.net and register for a free web email account then you can use the true email on your phone.

Connect using - Your wap or GPRS
Protocol - POP3
Inc. Server - mail.softhome.net
incoming port - 110
Mailbox - xxxxxxxx (Your username)
Password - xxxxxxxx (Your password)
Outgoing server - mail.softhome.net
outgoing Port - 2500 or 25000
email address - Your Username@softhome.net
Download - Headers and Text

It is much better to use this service as you can send and receive large emails and send pictures. You are not online all the time, only during send and receive, then it disconnects. The T-mobile email in the UK cost 10p for every message you send and every message you receive, you can only send them as an SMS so you are restricted to 160 characters. This includes the email address and the subject. Imagine someone sending you a large email through this. It gets very expensive.

Let me know how you get on.

To use email on t-mobile nl you need to have GPRS-actief or GPRS-intensief. I use it, and it works fine! This message was posted from a T68i

@neil.... wel I know have a SoftHome email address

Installed everything just like U said, but it's just like before.......the phone keeps 'finding server' 4EVER until it finally decides that server cannot be found.

What am I doing wrong????

@wouter: PS ik heb geen 'GPRS intensief' pakket van TMo, maar een oud BEN Veelzijdig abbo. WAP en GPRS werken overigens wel ?? zie niet in waarom de mail functie dan niet werkt
