Hi I have had my P800 now for about a month and I have had no problems whatsoever. However over the last week I began to get the 'famous' 10 second reset screen. Now when I try and send a text message witht the flip on nothing happens...and when I open the flip again nothing happens, although sometimes a message does appear saying not enough memory! However I have checked my memory and I have 5.5mb left. Any idea???

I don't think you have explained this perfectly - but I think I have the same problem.

In flip open mode, sometimes (generally when its been on a long while, although with the problems with the alarm mine has to have a long uptime period) you select the recipient, type the text and then when you press Send it just stops.

If you press Send repeatedly after about 4 times you get an out of memory message, and it doesnt save the message to drafts. I end up copying the message body to the clipboard, creating a new message (without putting in the recipient first) and then exitting, which does save it to drafts.

It must be a contacts related thing... but it's a pain.

EDIT: oh, and I have tried formatting, and not putting a backup on after, simply setting it up as before.

I've encountered the same problem before on my P800. One thing that I did (I've seen it in other forums as well) is to leave the address book (eg. Contacts) running in the background. Ever since I started following this strategy, I have not encountered the "out of memory" message yet.

If you're using Sman, make sure to include the address book in the snapshot so that it doesn't get closed when you perform a flush, or when you have flip-close flush enabled.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
