Probably an already debated topic, but is it / will it be possible to do a firmware update by ourselves? If so where the updates will be published? Thanks!

Yes, technicaly it should be possible to upgrade the phone yourself. The upgrades will probably be published on SonyEricssons website.

@UniversalExports
And who told you that we will be able to do the updates ourselves?

@Ferminator
It's said that the upgrade that will be released in April might be available so users may do the upgrade by themselves...

@CyTech: And that's exactly the problem about "it's said that ...". Don't get me wrong, I don't wanna bitch around about it (too much, at any rate ...), but sometimes, if we knew the sources as well, we could judge what or how much to expect from certain "news".

Comes to my mind that just a firmware update will not be enough - there should also be some software that actually uploads the stuff to the phone. That's not the same as the PC Suite on the P800 CD. I'm not sure if SE wants to publish all this and risk the resulting problems with homemade upgrades...

BUT ALL OF THEM SAY
YOU CAN DO IT ON YOUR OWN
NON OF THEM SAY
