On sony.com website displays in april they will relase a 1gig memory stick using some new technology!! Which means in basic form from there past.

Memory Duo Sticks are always half what the normal Memory sticks are, at current the biggest memory Stick is 256mb and Yes you can buy a 128 MG Stick Duo because it comes with sonys new mini netman (also on web site!).

Which means in theroy they should be able to bring out a 500mb Duo stick in the near future!

those 1gig ones are gonna be memorystick pro
the thing is that it wont work with many current devices since they are incompatible.

thats right, memory stick pro has a complete new structure compare to the normal memory stick and duos and all devices uses these will not be able to use memory stick pro. current sticks tops out at 256(a two sided 128) and the ''pro's'' can do 2gig.

That would be great, have on duo in your p800 and never have to worry about running out of space!

Check out the specs of the P800 - it's quite clear that it doesn't support bigger memory sticks than 128 MB.
