I can receive email but not send!

I have tried all combinations of settings to no avail.

My outgoing server is smtp.tiscali.co.uk
Incoming is pop.tiscali.co.uk.

Tried the "Use SMTP authentication" and "Use inbox login details" checkboxes - no results. Always "DND Report: bad name"

Any ideas?

SMTP servers are usually locked to their own dialup. What network are you on so that we can get you the right SMTP server?

Regards,

Phil.

This is what you should have for your email settings as I have the same on Tiscali
1, Tiscali
2, POP3
3, 212.74.114.58
4, 110
5, username@tiscali.co.uk ( your username for tiscali )
6, ***** (password for tiscali)
7, 212.74.114.61
8, 25
9, emailaddress@tiscali.co.uk ( your email address )

This is how it should look in the phone, you should also have a tiscali data account on your phone from tiscali mobile to connect to there wap because you use this in No 1 ( above )

Actually - for anyone else who finds this thread - the problem could well have been not wrong settings, but something different:

If you enter the server address and leave a trailing space (which you can do without noticing...) then you get that same DND response: Bad name!
