Ok if anybody knows what's going on please help me out. A little while ago I set up the wap settings for both my t300 and t68i. (same provider same setup both unlocked. Rogers AT&t provider)

t68i
So I activated my wap and it worked for my t68i. The i cancelled it because i never used it. With that service cancelled I could no longer access the wap browser but i tried to setup my mms via nowmms. The nowmms worked eventhough i didn't subscribe to wap. I could sent and recieve mms now.

i then swapped the sim card from my t68i and put it into the t300 trade phone with a friend. It has the same settings (downloaded everything the same way) but now the mms doesn't work but the wap browser does.

But if you put her card in my t68i the mms doens't work but the wap browser does.

And finnally i switched back to my t68i but i'm able to WAP browse eventhough i'm not paying for it.

The t300 owner however is paying for wap browsing and can't wap and the mms doesn't work either.

Hope I haven't confused the heck out of everyone but the point is why can't the t300 wap anymore even though the setting are the same and she's paying for it but i can for free??

Please help

I can only give you part of the answer... When you swap SIM cards and do not reset the phone, the previous users settings are still on it. You will be able to use everything they used. I think things screwed up when you accessed a service on your friends settings, while that service was blocked on your SIM. Sorry, I have on idea how to fix it, other than resetting the phones. Hmmmmm.. that kinda makes sense... but what doesn't is that her phone was brand new, no settings when I borrowed it. I borrowed it to put all the stuff in it for her like ringtones, games, setting etc... So if i wasn't subsribing to wap when i put my sim card in her phone how come i was able to wap with her phone? The mms thig however has been resolved the nowmms server was down. So now my phone can do mms and wap but i'm not paying for anything but her's can't. Strange eh? I don't want to reset her phone if a i don't have to because i used the 20 sec trick and it's a pain to do again.

You think i could just master reset the settings?

Thanks,
Dragoneye

Hmm, if the fone was brand new I have my doubts. Perhaps before you do a master reste ou can try re-install het WAP and MMS settings first? Delete the ones that are on now??

Still, it's a very strange story. Seems to me you're the lucky one tho, free WAP on Ur phone

A master reset will fix it. I had about the same problem with my t68 and a my 8310.. Wap didnt work on the other but did on the 8310.. A master reset solved my problems.. But remember Never buy a nokia! Especially not a 8310.. Its a real piece of shit! // Markus This message was posted from a T68i

I guess I'll have to but it's SOOO much trouble to do the master reset delete trick.... damn SE and their undeletable preinstalled items...oh well I'll give it a go. Thanks.... you think a settings reset will do?
