Hi all im a newbie to this forum so please bear with me
I recently got myself a t68 but it has the r2b software, and i bought a mca-20 cam, unfortunatly i have to upgrade the software to use this. I have bought a flasher cable and the software requiered, (ericsson unlocker 6.51 i believe) and i was wondering if someone would midn running through what to do, i have a t68ideustch.bin file so i take it this is the upgrade as it is about 10mb but is it a problem that is has deustch on the file? And also how exactly do i do this?

Its the 6.52 version sorry, and the only relevant .bin file i got supplied was in a sepearte zip and its call t68sideustch.bin, was wondering what settings i use, i.e. avr or arm when i flash this software. Also i have read you need to use both avr and arm so what would i do in this case. Could someone PLEASE PLEASE point me in the direction of the firmware or email it to me just incase this one i got supplied is faulty

why dont you take it to your local SE service centre, they should upgrade it for free. Its better than doing it yourself, cus theres always the possibility that you will f**k it up......

I would do, the only problem is i have lost the recipt and also my local se service centre is like 100 miles away

Hey, Im a newbie aswell, and i just bought a T68i.
there is only problem, i have no idea how do use it to its full capacity
I've been reviewing the forums and i've seen many references to softwares and upgrading to R7A..
What i want to know is :
1. how do i find out what software i am currently using
2. what are the benefits of "upgrading"
3. what are the benefits of "unlocking" your phone

1. Enter the service menu by pressing > * 2. Upgrading gives you more features, less bugs, much better performance, which makes a more reliable and happier phone.
3. Unlocking your phone means you can use it with any GSM network in the world, as long as they aren't that new 850MHZ band
