just got my p800, and I can't seem to hit the ground running with it!

my contacts seem to be screwy! I can't get the names of my contacts to properly manifest in the inbox. the names seem to be showing up in my sent folder, but I'm not getting a display of who just sent me a message. some names pop up, others don't.

I've already tried changing all the sender numbers to the mobile phone...

is anyone having this problem also?

This problem have been discuss many times, use the search engine. but anyway go to phonebook edit the contact, make sure the phone number is in mobile(h) or (w) and not phone(h) or (w).

the contact has already been set to mobile(h)....
will this reflect only w/ the new messages that come in, and not the ones that are already residing in my inbox?

I have the same problem - happens very rarely though.

Sometimes an incoming SMS will show the sender's number and not their name. If I try to reply to that SMS, it will fail. If I reply to a previous SMS sent from the same person but one that shows the name, it will send.
