Sure it's not actually formatting it very very fast!
When i formatted my MS MG 64mb Duo immediately after getting it, i'm pretty sure it took only seconds, possibly less - though i could be imagining it!
More likely is the Duo write lock enabled? Otherwise may be faulty, can you try format it in a card reader instead? I know some people received dodgy 16mb cards with their P800's and had to exchange them.

ya, and i am sure it is unlocked because i can install new software of the Memory stick
If format does not remove all files and progs on the MS then i don't know what format means
I tried Master resetting the device only to notice that the progs and setting on C: only where gone.
Also i discovered that i can rename the Card's name from the format menu, but still can't format
If i delete everything in the memory stick, will the phone still recognise it.. or will it have to reformat it and then create the folder and sys files to be able to use it

i have 2 Questions
1 why did u edit one of your posts 4 times?
and 2 have u tried just deleteing everything off the card manualy?
1 soloution go to a phone store like carphone warehouse and get them to formate it for u, 2 buy a new card or 3 buy one of them card readers for your comp and format it that way
other then that i have no clue

If you notice that post had 4 paragraphs each was written at a different timing insted of replying to my own posts with more info.
It's not about the deleting whats in the card that i am worried about, it's the phone beeing faulty, or something, specially when you plan to sell it and upgread once the contract ins over
