After adding some applications I turned on the phone and there is no menu on the display except the call list icon when the flip is closed.

With the flip opened I still have no icons. and only in writing: Applications / edit / All.

Onlu some application left like games etc.

No jotter, no communicam, no phone. nothing!

Anyone know what to do? It seems like the whole structure of the phone is gone. I cant find even the Master reset. Can anyone please help me?

Go to the service menu and format the internal disk, hopefully that will help.

Is this only a suggestion? Am afraid that if I do something like that and the problem wont be solved, that SE service center will say that I lost the guarantee, or whatever other excuses!

I had this problem a few weeks back as I was about to board a flight. I had already had a couple of bacardis but I reasoned that there must be a program in ROM on the Z drive that set this stuff up.

After trying a couple of things I found a program that did exactly that.

The bad news is that I was a little to gone to remember and write down what I ran but I remember it was called SETUP something.

Taking a quick look through the Z drive now I can see in the Z:\system\apps\setup directory a program called SETUP.app so perhaps that is it although I did vaguely recall the program name being something more like SETUPUI...

If you try these lets us know.

This problem always happen when I install a new app. The menu items reappears when I uninstall the newly installed app.

I found a way to bring it back though without uninstallation.

Use the program switcher (its freeware I think). Just kill the applications program that is running then voila all your apps are back.

One downside though is I think the folder category of each application gets erased and everything is put into the UNFILED category.

Hoping for a better solution for this problem.

I found an even BETTER solution
I just reboot my phone and for some odd reason everything comes back

try it, otherwise uninstall the app

and I feel bad for whoever formated their disk over that

I found what was causing the problem.

I uninstalled BugMe and the problem with the disappearing apps also disappeared.

Try it.

From My experience this appears sometimes when you take the card out and put back. I have found that usually restarting the phone helps.
Strange is that I got lately the firmware upgraded and that erases all phone memory. After that when inserting the card the programs are all there and work but you can not uninstall them any longer. When choosing the uninstall then the programs on the card are not on the list.
