What is up with that?
A guy at work just got one, and had to get a data cable for it.
It is obviously aimed at people who are intending to use it with their PC as it has Java, but it doesnt support any wireless tranfer of data. I think this is a huge lack of attention.
PS. I am not a Nokia hater, just thought it was crazy not to have it on this phone seeing as just about all previous models have it.

I heard that even you get a data cable, you won't be able to upload backgrounds and stuffs to the 3530........cos the phone simply has no connectivity !!! The only way to get these is download from wap......kind of dumb and crap !!!

No its not, being an entry level "Expression" phone the point is with 3530 that you buy your Java stuff from your operator. It also reduces the price when theres no BT or IrDA.

Flying Finn said it best, as this is a entry level colour screen phone and we all know Nokia entry level is just that "entry level" i.e. the bear basics unlike the SE T300 which is also colour screen entry level but with alot more connectivity options, Even if your mate gets a cable it won't work the 3510i or in your friends case the 3530 doesn't support any pc connectivity the only way to get apps, pics or ringtones on it is wap or mms.
That's Nokia for you.

8210 is by no standards entry level especially when it was first released it was aimed at the same market that the 8310 was aimed at and as far as I know 3310 doesn't have infra red and that is a typical entry level nokia phone.

well..u get what u paid for
and it's a good basic phone for one who just wans to make calls and simplybe satisfied with colour screen
still good effort for the price given maybe even considered better than the Panasonic GD68 and Motorola C350, E360
