Hi,
i am wanting to upgrade my phone in the weekend to the lastest SW version. Please could you advise me if the store backs up everything personal. I am going to the Carphone Warehouse.
Do i loose my
pictures?
tones?
settings?
contacts in SIMcard?
notes?
anything else?
Thanks in advance,
Owen

I have been told by

that you will lose everything that you have entered, eg only things left will be what comes in it as default.
and I got told to do the backup myself.

Yes!!! Lopio, I forgot about that, anything on your SIM will be fine as they dont even take it, they made me keep mine, but that was cool as I was going to put in my backup phone anyway.

got it upgraded to R7A finally.
Everthing was still on my phone. Not one piece of info was missing. All pix, tones, notes... ... ... I was so happy because i couldn't afford the equipment to backup my info.

yeah, i got it done at the CPW in belfast and EVERYTHING was still there. They did say to me that everything would be lost but no.
Also i did check to see if the had indeed upgraded properly.
All was safe
