Anyone?
I received my P800 last night,it looks fine but i have just in the center of the screen a little white dot.
It is just in the middle of the three layers (not the touchscreen and not the tft just in between of them.
Do i need to sent it back?
Or is this normal ?

Just send it back you should have a 14 day take back or send back policy...
theres been about 5 people on here saying about this dead pixel prob and i think SE arnt checking there phones as other companys do, theres been alot of problems with the camara (a hardware & software) probs on some P800's
and where i work about 8 people have asket for a new one (2 of which wanted there money back but the manager talket them round lol) the wierdest one ive seen is when a ladie came in with her P800 which she bought the other day and sayed that the duo wernt working, so i took a look at it and duo felt a little to light and flexable so i looket a little closer and the duo was just a shell nothing in it.
we wernt to sure what todo incase she had swapet it with a empty one to get an extra one... anyway she got one in the end after paying half price for one... but u never know and she didnt at all mind

I got my P800 from expansys a couple weeks ago, and it had dead pixel right in the middle of it, and they took it back and gave me a brand new one 2nd day shipping. See if where you bought it would take it back and give you a replacement, cause I couldn't live with a dead pixel, especially for this extremely expensive phone.

Yep yep yep...its a dead pixal i have 2 on my phone, noticed them right away when i got it and turned it on. I called up SE and they told me they would exchange it, but that they were out of stock at the moment. Sooo the crappy part about this is that even thosugh i reported it, the bad unit HAS to be at SE before the 30 day replacement warrent is up...doesent sound that bad? well seeing how the New P800 shippment that SE is getting doesent arrive until abe 3 days after my phone has to be in SE, and then because SE is slow ill have to wait another 3-5 days minimum before ill get the phone, so i will be without any CELL PHONE FOR ABOUT 1 WEEK...the response i got from SE about this delima.."Nothing we can do about it...you defective phone HAS to be in our office before the 30day experation date) So whatever, im glad ill be getting a new phone but man...lol stupiud SE

what does a dead pixel look like then? i have a couple of white spots on my phone one is extremely tiny and the other is a bit bigger but both only noticeable under with the backlight on and mainly in thge dark... thought they were a couple of dust specs (still think they are tbh) and wasn't really concerned about them.

a dead pixal is PURE white u can tell the difference between dust and a dead pixal because dust is usually not pure white and its usually not square shapped
