There is a company called Bitween.com that create a program like pcanywhere, which is a program you dial into your computer via your p800 to home and controll your pc, eg:

view edit word files,
reboot computer,
send emails or faxs

anyone tried this?

What I think would be cool is set your computer at home with web cams around your house, and while you are on holiday or something dial in and see if your house is still ok, or check up on your baby sitter!!

I've used it inside my Lan @ home with Bluetooth and it works quite well. At some point i will try via GPRS when i have to. But i guess it will be quite expensive!

It's called Remote Control. Works great over GPRS... although slow. But if all you want is a remote webcam viewer... Packet Video (The guys who made the video player for the P800 and brought us the streaming traffic cams of Paris and New York) have made a home version that works with your home webcam. Go to www.packetvideo.com and inquire about their P800 webcam software.

The Packet Video encoder trial version does not support live broadcast. You will have to add the neat sum of 1400 USD for the full version. These guys are really going for the consumer market....

For remote control I'm using the VNC. Its for free and its works great over GPRS.
