Anybody had the following errors when backing up
PROGRAM STARTUPTHREAD
REASON CODE KERN-EXEC
REASON NUMBER 3
&
PROGRAM APPARCSERVERTHREAD
REASON CODE USER
REASON NUMBER 13O
When backing up the backup is interuppted saying problem backing up c:\system\mail\index
I didn't have this problem originally but sympton is that file never gets backed up (contains the mail account info).
Even doing a hard reset does not solve the problem even with the index file being newly created.
Managing to work around but it is bloody annoying
Any clues anybody?

Are you running Handy Day or AppForge? Have heard both may prevent backups running. Try uninstalling the apps and then doing a backup.

The Handy Day guys say they are releasing a new version to address this problem. The backup in my case finishes fine. I do have issues with the alarm.dat files for appforge and bugme not being backed up (but no big deal) and Handy Day seems to prevent the Agenda and Contacts from being backup up initially. At the end of the backup process I get the dialog box asking if I want to retry and if I say yes if seems to work fine. Also not a big problen as if I lose contact and agenda data I can just do a full sunc to get them back.

I have Handy Day installed. I do get a backup that I can restore, just the mail index file that is not backed up. I will uninstall Handy Day to see if problem is solved.

If you are syncing with outlook I wouldn't worry about agenda, mail etc. If they don't restore just do a full sync and you will be back in business.

@Woollie Do you get any of the error codes on the phone? If I rely on sync with outlook, I loose the folders/catagories syncing so all my 300+ contacts, diary entries and Todo's are put in unfiled :(
