Their home pages says that they will launch Symbian OS 7.0s at the London Exposium03. It seems that 7.0s is UIQ 2.1, from all the docs on it. I know SonyEricsson are there too.
I wonder if by
Launch, they mean we will be able to get it for a real device? Will SE have upgrades available for the P800?

Symbian 7.0 and UIQ 2.1 are seperate things, again this is coverred in loads of other posts.
Symbian itself is the operating system whilst UIQ is the platform which moulds Symbian for use with a palm-held device.
SE then moulds UIQ (currently 2.0) so that it works with the phone's featureset.
So in a word, no.

Wrong.
Symbian is the core OS, however....
Symbian 7.0 OS (pen-based) is the OS the is under UIQ (pen-based). UIQ is the ONLY frontend for Symbian 7.0.
Symbian 6.? OS is the OS for the Nokia Series 60 front end.
A 7.0s release at present would only apply to the UIQ version. If you actually read the specs for 2.1 and 7.0s, you will see there is a big feature overlap, including the implementation if Java MIDP 2.0
I take on board your point, but they are not seperate things, they are very heavily linked. If they were not I doubt the My-Symbian forum would be called "Symbian 7 OS UIQ".
Yes, this is in other threads, it's a pitty you don't seem to have read them.
