> P800 MMS to T300 on T-Mobile US
Bookmark topic
Hi
I have a created a MMS (8.4 kb big) with the SonyEricsson MMS Home Studio and transferred it to my P800. I then try send the MMS on to my wife's phone (T300) who is also a T-Mobile subscriber but she never gets the MMS. I did some research last night and the only way I can send her a MMS is if she sends me one first that I reply to. Why is that? Shouldn't it be possible to send a MMS from a P800 to a T300 on T-Mobile?

Now that I think aboiut it again, if you can only send to her after she's sent you one would seem to imply that your MMS settings aren't setup correctly. So that when you reply it's just picking up the settings from the message you recieved. Something like replying via the same MMSC or something.
Try going here and have your MMS setting sent to you again.

That is what I thought at first too but then I removed my settings and did a re-install and the problem is still there. I have no problem sending the MMS from my P800 to an email address or for that matter to myself. It is when trying to send it to another T-mobile subscriber with a T300 that the message gets lost. Could it be that the T-Mobile MMSC doesn't translate between P800 formatted MMS's and other phone types?

i have this problem also, i can't send MMS from my p800 to my girl's samsung v205, both on tmobile network. i can send MMS to emails just fine, and she can send MMS from her phone to my p800 just fine. when i try to send to her, it just gets lost. when i use reply to her MMS, she gets the message but the picture is blank...
one of us may need to bite the bullet and call up tmobile customer service...

In my desperation to avoid talking to customer service I now send my MMS through NowMMS and that works out just fine. Let me know if you bite the bullet and call T-Mobile...

i think i figured it out..
use the lowest resolution on your camera
also when dialing the receiver's phone number, make sure you do not use any dashes (-), i read this in a different thread. if you're using their number from the contact list, it cannot have any dashes either (which outlook puts in if you use that, have to edit the numbers in the phone).
doing this, the samsung v205 finally received a MMS properly from my phone, well, the picture at least, i did'nt try sending it with sound.
