Hello Guys... This is fun!
I already installed and used it, bugy... but still fun, and it works...
EMail From VIC:
___________________________________________________________________
First of all please accept my apologies for this delayed release and I thank you all for your interest and taking the trouble to register to receive our Sony Ericsson P800 Video Player Beta release. We have been astounded by the interest this player has generated and I hope this release and our future plans will not disappoint.
We are aware that there are two distinct areas of interest – using VICS P800 player to view our nanoPortal and using the player to display full screen video. Before either of these is possible you will need to install the VICS player onto your phone, see www.videocoding.com/portal/installmobileplayer.html for further information.
As this is a Beta release it is subject to change as and when we fix bugs – for this reason can I request that if anyone plans to post the player onto bulletin boards that this is done in such a way that all links refer back you VICS install page.
Once you have installed VICS player, and configured your access point you can start watching video. As this is a new service there is not a huge amount of premium content available – however you will receive updates as and when our content partners start launching their respective services in the next few weeks. If you do not wish to receive these updates please unsubscribe from this mailing list (see link at the end of this of email).
Watching video content over GSM/GPRS
VICS’s nanoPortal provides a complete end-to-end video delivery, digital rights management and billing solution. During VICS Beta test period all content and services are provided free – users will only pay for the data they stream via their respective data tariffs. To start using VICS nanoPortal visit http://www.videocoding.com/np. If you are a content provider and would like to mobilise your content please feel free to contact me directly.
Please note VICS' mobile portal can also be previewed using an Internet browser on www.videocoding.com/portal. If you have any questions, problems, or suggestions please email these to portalfeedback@videocoding.com; I would appreciate as fast as possible reporting of any issues.
Full screen video content
For those of you interested in the full screen video capabilities of our player we have created a small selection of clips that you can download. (www.videocoding.com/v2/demos/mdevices/highendmobile.html)
All know bugs and FAQ will be posted at www.videocoding.com/portal/faq
Many thanks for your cooperation; I look forward to your feedback.
David

Hello Elevent7
Yes i know this, sorry to say, but the site is closed for temporary time:
My site has been hosted for the past 3 days on p8mail.com as a subdomain, as u guys know
data traffic is very important > So it was a
shock to see that there was more than
4gb data traffic in JUST 3 DAYS!
So i am now looking AGAIN for a server to host the files > the site will stay at
http://reallyrules.p800mail.com
When the files are another server, and the downloads work > i will post here...

No u cant play any movie, it has to be encoded to a .vic file, and i dont know any encoder for that file, if someone could mail Vic's and asked them for what encoder thay use ?

I have emailed vics asking if they are going to release the codec or some software for doing the conversions, thats the first thing I did when I got the email from them. Hope to get a reply back soon.
I actually know where vics are because I have worked with a company next door to them. I know for a fact I won't get a reply by Monday or Tuesday so I will let you know then, if I get a reply that is.

Hmm, I installed the player and put the vic files on my phone but there is no browse function to find them? Do they have to go in a special place? I tried to copy them with the other videos but they would not be accepted.
