Take a look at page 39-40 on this on the 3GPP section-- which i believe suggests that the P800 is already enabled for 3G?????

Sorry mate but P800 not 3G enable...on that doc, it si question of 3GPPS streaming meaning that the P800 is enable to receive streaming video but that is it...

you know actually the P800 might hare 3g capability built in... that woud b good i have afriend whowo&bs at hutchison i will get a sim and take apart the phones sofrware see iif i can find any trace of 3g-...

I don't think that p800 is 3G simply because SE didn't advertised it as such (it's a major feature you know ).

Although i must disagree that 3G it couldn't be enabled by software. Imagine that the hardware is there, and the only thing needed to enable 3G is a software capable of dealing with it.

There is absolutely no way a software revision would make a p800 3g enabled.

Thats probably the most amusing thing I have heard today - not the suggestion of the idea, but the concept that someone thought it was true.

considering that most analysts suggest (look at UK 3 network for evidence) that 3G operators will take a 'walled garded' approach to services, even if the handset did have the hardware it is highly unlikely we would be able to use it. This message was posted from a P800
