> Software upgrade for T300

Can anyone here pls do tell me what benefits will the software upgrade bring me? Will my pics, tones, etc remains if i upgraded it? Currently my software version is R1C001. Thank you!

New software is R1G. No major changes... just a few bug fixes. Mostly behind the scenes changes.
All pics and numbers will stay as is

You will find that the menus will be faster as well..... and it will get rid of that shutdown bug

How much faster will the menus be? I was under the impression that the T300 and T68i are identical in many aspects, but when I compared my T300 (R1D) with a friend's T68i (R7A) I was disappointed to find that the T68i is soooo much faster (menus, text entry, phonebook, etc. The T68i has no lag when entering text, and only a slight lag when using the chatboard. The T300 has a much more vibrant display though.
