I called local SE Cust Svc Ctr and asked them about the R7A13 upgrade for my T68+(MMS enabled T68) today. The reply I got was that I gotta pay for the 'basic check-up' charge plus the 'software upgrade' charge after they learnt that my T68+ warranty had already expired. But what really surprised me most was that they told me R7A13 was only meant for T68i but not for T68+ !

Thus I wanna know if any current T68 users had got their T68 upgraded to R7A13 successfully and whether or not they had paid for the upgrade in case the warranty of their T68 already expired?

I had my upgrade free since my unit was under warranty. We have 3 authorized service points in the Philippines. Non warrantied units are charged at around 9 us dollars. This message was posted from a T68i

You said it would only cost you only S$20 to upgrade T68 to R7A13 if the warranty already expired. Does that S$20 covers both the 'check-up' as well as the 'upgrade'?
