I got a sony ericsson t68i phone. I have the the camera which has no zoom function and i have the mp3 player which can only be used alone ( i cant play games while playing the mp3...I've read and tried the tips and tricks regarding the player) I need to know how I can see which version of software I have. Is there a way to find out? Let me know thanks in advance.

To find out which software version you have, on the standby screen press ">*" and "" is to the right and "<" is to the left. And the "*" is the asterisk on your keypad. You will find your software info under "SW Information". It's usually the first line.

if you're using mca25, upgrade your t68i fw to R6A/R7A in order to have the zoom function

All you need to know from that is that the software is R5D007 to be able to use the zoom on the mca 25 then you need a software version over R7 ... something i think it was R7A
I can't remember exacly but i think you go the volume and then hold the No (try volume, base, trib,) and hold no for about 2 sec's

dont really know...its the silver one not blue.
Just exactly how do i upgrade to a newer sw? I live in Fairfax, Va USA and can't seem to find any SE service centers near here. By the way I still dont know what version can someone tell me?

@guamboy, your firmware version is the R5D007. As to what the rest means I have no idea either. As for upgrading, you and I are unfortunately in the same boat. There are no SE service points here in the US where you can bring your phone to for upgrading. You'll have to call SE for that.

Babe...u'r right no SE service centers here but there is a person who can unlock and upgrade your t68i. Robb Weiss seems to be highly recommended. Do a search on this forum or on google for his name. His email addy is
ke3ee@attbi.com. I'm thinking about upgrading...maybe...I dont know. Just got the phone and already I'm thinking of upgrade.
