Guys,

I was one of the 26 people who brought a brand new p800 from a seller called sevenndeuce or 7deuce on Ebay with buy it now option for $549.99. The conman uses a paypal account to accept payement and stops responding after that.He has been on a personal shopping spree since 5 days as his feedback so positive feddback as buyer and negetive feedback as seller.

His paypal account has been suspended and he is still lurking. beware people !! i paid a heavy price for being foolish.

If you used paypal you should be able to get buyer protection refund. Also, if you uised a credit card you can call them and have the money refunded due to non-delivery from mail order sale.

buddy,

thanks for the info, i have already complained to paypal and also called up credit card company. The reason why i posted was to make people aware of such scams on sites like ebay. Suddenly since this scam has been reported the number of p800s for auction on ebay has dropped by 45%. Ebay US i mean

We are all in the process of nailing the asshole.

Will keep evrybody posted.

Although you talk about a specific case I think anyone using Ebay should go in with their eyes wide open!

Lots of ppl from my country use ebay as a scaming ground with phones and other electronics.but i guess its ur fault too bcuz u use paypal-unsecure payment system with all ur complaints- instead of a bank system.u can always block payment thru a bank. This message was posted from a WAP device

Hi
701 is right, I got conned by someone on Ebay who was in Romania, i thought I was getting a T68i and communicam when THEY were new, and instead I got nothing, still chasing Western union for my money back, now I am very weary of expensive, but cheaper than shops price electrical equiptment from Ebay! If I buy those if it isn't very very affordable so worth risking, I either don't buy or I insist on picking it up.

I wanted a Nokia 3650 for £150. I emailed several auctioners, they all said they worked for Nokia, where away on business in Romania, only accepted Western Union and never replied whn I asked them why they were trying to con me!

(PS they were all new Ebay Users)

heres a helpfull tip,
if u are going to get a nokia phone from ebay allways ask for the imei first then go to clubnokia.com and make a new acount give the imei number the seller gave you and if it is real it will allow you to sign up for a club nokia membership if its invalid it will say it is invalid ( and it will also give what phone the imei number belongs to incase he trys to give you a 8310 IMEI lol)
a very simple way to tell but it only works with nokia unless SE have a site that will do the same sort of thing? anyone know of a site?
