Hi Guys.

Has anyone managed to use the P800 as a GPRS modem connected to an Apple G4 Powerbook.
I know that there is a modem driver on the disks that came with the phone but thiis is for windows only. I am on OSX.

Thanks for any help.

IMHO standard Ericsson Infrared modem script should work for you. Pair your PowerBook with P800 by Bluetooth setup assistant and fill proper CID in GPRS data connection part.

With new bluetooth setup assistant you can setup your connection very easy. Switch your P800 into bluetooth discoverable mode. ln last step select data connection. As number you fill *99***# and correct APN (acess point name). You can get this APN from your operator - but ussually it is something like \"internet\". Select Ericsson infrared as modemscript and thats it! This message was posted from a P800

Fantastic!
In fact the only thing I have needed to use is the call number *99***# in a copy of my GSM dialup and it started right away.

Thanks very much!

I've been successfully using my P800 with my old G3 laptop (OS9.1 Wallstreet) using just plain old infrared. Works fine, I have cheap a cheap plan for night access. Just wondering what the advantages are of using GPRS and Bluetooth instead?
