(ive reposted this here cuz i put it in the wrong forum by accident)

i cant seem to backup without this error coming up...

"There is not enough free memory on your phone

It is strongly recommended that you free some memory on your phone before backing up. If you wish to continue performing a backup without freeing memory you might not be able to restore your backup on your phone. Do you still wish to continue?"

anyone got any ideas how to resolve this?

btw: i have 8.9MB free on the phone and 15.2MB free on the mem stick.

This is strange, especially if you say that the phone has 8.9 MB of free space.

My P800 has complained to me about high use of space when making a backup. The thing is, if the phone has less than I think it was 500 kB of space when a backup is made, you might not be able to restore it later.

But it's strange that it complains about this with an empty phone!

i did notice that in the program it says:

Make Bakup ON (note "on")
[ ] phone memory
[ ] memory stick

why would the backup be made on the phone itself??? and not on the pc? could this be causing the prob?

theres a lot i dont understand about this bleedin' phone

( still a gr8 little piece of kit tho )
