You've got to be joking. Anything "Pocket PC" is hardly an "upgrade." Utter nonsense.

This forum is really getting packed with BS rumours. Could anyone imagine anything worse than having win ce on your P800?!
Not to mention that SE is actually a part owner of Symbian!!

There will always be a debate on microsofts win ce and symbian os.
I was using a compaq...then came nokia card phone...so enthralled i was that i used that for more then a month and was proud carring it around like that....then came XDA...used it for nearly 5 months and spent loads of money on buying all that software....but to tell u the truth every day was a new experience but never was there bluetooth headset profile support and niether was it too easy with basic phone services falling weak.
symbian os 7(sony ericsson) has the phone services integreted too well in it and rest all comes as bonus.

There is no Official SE center in Malta.
Resellers told me so and then
i spoke with Vodafone malta and they confirmed it.
.
Conclusion: you spoke with some wonnabe engineer who spreads gossip without knowing matter deeply...
i.e. RUBISH! DONT BELIEVE A WORD!

Linux would be more likely(Since

said they would be moving away from symbian)... But I think the p800 will be using symbian for the rest of it's life(may it live long and prosper!)
