Worth it.

Remember, 99% of people who post are people who have problems. I've had my P800 upgraded and it's a great update.

Did you have any problem restoring your contacts/files, etc after the upgrade.

well .. it depends on what u term as worthwhile ... I upgraded from R1D to R2D and basically I don't feel the diff. The full screen thingy is not very good anyway .. the video is laggy even with d cache @ MAX. I don't use delivery report n the night mode is interestg but of not much use. It's more of a subtle change with bits and pieces here and there ... not a big n major upgrade like many have made it out to be .... at least BT is working perfectly now and I sync back my contact list via. BT without problem ..

no T9
no copy to sim at once, actually can't even find at all how to clone phonebook to sim memory!
alarm doesn't turn on the phone when it's switched off

sorry!

but when using 2 phones with same number (eg carphone & P800), before in R1D if the other phone was still active, the P800 would fail to call and ask to retry and subsequently try eternally to get a connection it won't get (you had to cancel this retry & dial again to make it work). Now with R2D it will just do like the T68, you call, the screen simply resets to the previous one, no error messages, but then it works if you retry.

Well it works much better and more stable than the R1D.
When using the communicam, logo keeps on getting stuck, making it impossible to take pics

My advice would be; if you don't have any problems with your phone (no bugs) don't upgrade it. Now of course if really need one of the new feature go for it, but don't forget a phone as complete as the p800 will always have bugs. After all, the most used soft in the world (Windows) is full of bugs .....
