Ive had the P800 for a few weeks now and think its def then best phone ive ever owned. It simply pi$$e$ ova the nk7650 but lacks something that could be made right...
buttons!
Unlike most other phones the P800 doesnt have standard buttons (eg the number keypad) when playing games and using the jog dial scroll wheel is not that effective. This especially applies to games like eDoom - a brilliant game but a BITCH to control - having to use the stylus to move about is a nuisance!
(however this is the PERFECT User interface for games such as Strategic Assault, and games like theme park etc!)
When the kepad flip is up, however, not much of the screen is visible - not very good for full screen games! So I think either SE or some third party company should produce a new keypad for the phone. One which only covers a small section of the screen but enough to press areas of it to activate functions such as moving etc. This new pad could be a mini joystick or just a D-pad stylee with, say, three function buttons like a gameboy.
Of course the games would then need to support this feature.
How much better would this be?!! - I'd really like to see something like this to come out. It could also be used for other features/apps which require better button positioning.
ALSO... (for u developers out there...)
I would like to see games like:
- Theme Park
- Command & Conquer
- And other similar games
released for the P800 - This oldies are not very processor intense so they should be able to run on the phone although they would need reprogramming for the new UIQ inerface. These classics would be born again! The P800 stylus UI is perfect for this type of gaming!
Please post any more ideas and news about anything like what ive described as i would be very interested.
