When transferring files from my PC to the P800 i find that it takes ages! - Using either the USB and standard cradle or via IR (havent tried BT yet tho). I understand that IR has only got a tranfer speed of ip to 115kbps but i thought the USB would be a lot quicker.. but infact its the same speed. Ive a got a Sony MP3 Stick player (which also uses a Sony memory stcik) which files tranfer to in seconds over USB so how come sending files to my P800 isnt as fast?
Does every1 have this problem or is it just me? Sending 6 MP3 songs to the phone takes for ever!
Anyone know NEthing i can do?

The connector on the p800 is actually a serial connector running at summat like 115kbps. So even though the PC end is USB, you are speed limited by the p800 hardware.
I find Bluetooth to be faster (if i put the p800 next to the BT dongle). Or get a card reader/writer.

this topic has been spoken about before and we found out that some people it could take upto 60min to backup 12mb onto there computer when others it only took 2 mins it depends on your computer aswell as your P800 one way to fasten it up is close all the programes your not useing on your P800
if im uploading MP4s to my P800 at about 54mb it only takes about 9 min

Chrz ppl. I think ill try n get a bluetooth adapter then.
I think my PC is easily fast enough its just the connection interface thats slowing stuff down.
Does NE1 kno the full speed of the bluetooth connection interface between the pc and p800?

Bluetooth v1.1 has a maximum transfer speed of 721 kbps (~0.7Mbps). But the actual transfer speed depends on bluetooth signal strength between the devices. It also depends on other eventual interference on the 2.4GHz frequency. It should mean faster transferspeeds though.
