Hi,
I've looked at other posts but I don't understand all the talk of GPRS, GSM etc etc

Basically I am on T-Mobile (UK) and I was wondering whether when I get my P800 it will automatically be set up to conenct to html web sites?

Do I connect via a special number like for wap on T68i? Is it the same number for wap and html viewing? Do I connect to the internet via GPRS? If so How? If so is it possible on T-Mobile (UK)? Can I dialup to a ISP like Freeserve or Aol using software or just a phone-number dialup?

How do I do any of the above?

Is there a way to set up any of the above correct methods automatically?

How much do any of the possible methods cost?

Which method provides the fastet connection?

What is the best option for general internet site viewing and for streaming audio and video and downloads of video and ringtones and pictures etc etc? Also in terms of charge is it easy on the P800 to leave a connection running and therefore without knowing it/using it you run up a massive bill?

I really do need help here... step by step I guess!

Thanks to anyone who spares me the time to help me out,
James

The best thing to do is to call your network operator, they will send U a SMS. The SMS will contain all the info that you fone needs to set up a wap profile. They will also adv U what charges apply on your price tarriff.
Hope that helps U

As far as I am awere, if page is in HTML format, then the p800 can access that page. If you are using GPRS, then it would be expensive to access HTML pages. If you use GSM to dial up to a HTML page, then it will be V E R Y slow to load up the whole page.

With the P800, you can enter a time out for the internet. Example, if I dont use GSM for 2 mins or more, my fone will disconect, hence no expensive bill. With the GPRS, you are only billed for what U download. so if you stay connected on the same page for 8 hours... you are only billed for what U down loaded..

Speak to your network operator to find out your tarriff charges.
