I got a T68i phone, and well im trying to setup my own wap account on the phone.. anyway, I set it all up like i would on a desktop computer, and itll dial the earthlink isp, try to connect, and then simply say "failed".. so im wondering if its even possible for me to be useing earthlink (or any other dialup isp) for wap access. Id like to figure out a way to get free wap access over gsm, as I dont want to pay like a buck for 10k or something when useing mMode from ATT. Thanks for any help.

Hi!1st of all i wanna help but ur post is a bit confusing.u want wap acces or internet access thru ur t68i?as i c it u want wap thru CSD(analogue wap access at 9.6kbps-slow) not gprs where u pay on data transfer.first u call ur operator and enable csd wap.they will also give the different setups 4this.well i am here in case u read this. Yeah, I wanted wap trough the slow 9.2k access, as I wont be useing it much, except when im gone for long trips.. were then id be useing it at night off the unlimited free minutes; so it would be quite a bit cheaper than useing gprs and paying by the amount of data.

well, first, are u sure that the csd wap (that's what we call it) is deducted from ur free nite minutes>?I ask u cuz this is a data service (not a voice service) so it might be a bit tricky.Did u call ur service provider to activeate ur wap service? U MUST then. After that...u can take the sttings from their web page or from the operators!keep me posted!

I still need to call ATT up to enable it, I kinda just assumed it would work outa the box. Ill keep an update on here, though I will be gone for for days starting tommorow. So it might be a while. Thanks for your help.

U're welcomed! Anytime! And if u do call them to enable CSD wap, u can also open ur gprs account. For each account (csd and gprs) u gotta make a profile in ur phone...so u'll always have control over ur connection.
