Hi,

Has anybody any experience of configuring a P800 internet account
with a call back server.

I am trying to connect my P800 to my company RAS server which
supports call backs (hence no big phone bill for me!). I can connect
fine to the network if I pay for the call .. however if I enable
Callback the server rings me back, but I have the following problems

1. It does not auto answer
2. It does not recognise as a data call.
3. Ansering manually just causes the connection to be terminated.

This is extrememly frustrating. On my previous R380 there was an
option to set the next call as data but this seems to have been
removed.

Any help gratefully recieved.

yes of course i did tick the use call back in order to get call back works. But the problem are still with those 3 points listed above. I just wonder if SE P800 can really work with dial up callback thru RAS.

Are you using an incoming data number on your handset not your voice number?

for call back number, i fill it with my phone provider number(voice). but my assumption so far is that my phone provider can't mark off the next call back between data or voice. so the phone itself should have some function as in T68 which have the 'next call is data' option. That's one of the lack P800 have
