this is HARDWARE, and so far, I don't believe anyone has written any P800 software to take advantage of the singals this thing would send to the phone.
until then, we wait. Also - sure, it can provide the GPS signals, but where is it going to store the maps? Most of us have little memory to hold this sort of thing (traditionally takes up a whole CD... maybe less for individual cities)
We're going too have to wait for this thing to become useful for our P800's.

One demo I saw on a SE reps P800 was from a group called Gate5.de.
The app, City5, was a VERY fast gps mapping system that was (rumor has it) able to connect to a bluetooth GPS. It used a compressed map format, but as an example of speed he had a map of Germany and with a quick slide of the scroller, zoomed all the way from country view to the building at the Messe where we were standing. Absolutely astonishing speed...I can't wait.
He was able to demonstrate routes and such, and I thought it was excellent. You can creep into their site and see photos of a similar app under development for Nokia and the T68i at
There's probably alot more there, but I don't think it's been officially announced. yet.
Frankly, if this or TomTom were available for the P800, I'd buy the damn, overprices GPS in a flash...
