Sorry if this has been brought up somewhere else!! I did a search, but I couldnt really find anything.
The t68i has a key lock, a SIM lock and a phone lock. I know that the SIM lock stops ure sim being used in another phone and the phone lock stops people gettin into ure phone without the code. We all know that u get 3 goes at guessin ure SIM lock before u need to phone up ure provider, tell them ure stupid and get a code to get back into ure phone.
But how many attempts do u get at the phone lock and wot happens if u use all the attempts up?

I think you get 3, or maybe 5, but i wouldnt try it cuz if you get that wrong you cant phone up, your'e phone is just completley fu**ed.

3 incorrect PIN (sim lock)...your sim will be blocked, you need a PUK for it
10 incorrect phone lock, i think that the phone will stop responding for a certain time

... or just call up your network provider and ask for the PUK. They will send (snailmail) it to the address the SIM card is registered to.

ive tried my phone lock code going on 50 times cos i got mt fone 2nd hand and the fool i bought it gave me a code that dosnt work. nothing ever happend 2 my fone no matter howmany times i tried the phone lock code and got it wrong.

It is the phone that becomes unlocked from any particular network's sim. The sim is never locked to a particular phone. Even in a simlocked phone you can switch same-network sims and they will work in another phone locked to that network. They will also work in any sim-unlocked phone.

actually, "SIM Lock" refers to whether or not your phone will have to ask you to enter a PIN code at start-up. i'm sure every GSM user is aware that their SIM card has two PIN codes that are programmable and two corresponding PUK codes that are hardwired into the card. when SIM Lock is enabled, the SIM card itself requests authentication before it will function properly every time the phone is turned on.
"Phone Lock", however, refers to a passcode that can be programmed into your phone hardware itself to enable use. unlike PIN codes, these need not be only 4 digits and many phones allow for up to 8. in a phone that has Phone Lock enabled, no matter what network's SIM card you have installed or whether that SIM card requires PIN input or not, your phone will ask for the lock code before it will function.
network-locking, also sometimes referred to as sim-locking, is a different procedure in which the phone's software is instructed to look for a specific network signature in the SIM card that is installed in it at start-up. this type of locking can't be enabled or disabled by the user (not without the use of external specialized equipment, at least) and essentially requires the network provider to access it via special firmware keys.

u can buy data cable and software 2 unlock any fone weather its the phone lock code or network locked, on the net. do a search on google and c for yourself.
