> Video Recording on my shiny new p800 :)
Bookmark topic
Lo all,
just got my p800 and BT headset today and found that it doesnt come with any sony installed video recording software (bit silly considering the 128mb duo's but anyways) so went a huntin' on the net for some and came across these forums.
so im trying to find any links to software for video recording thru the p800. can anyone point me in the right direction?
all the best,
Tim

any news on how far the projects to record are coming along? I went from a 7650 to this and there were loads of vid recording appz for the 7650 (thommos being almost perfect).
any idea if any are on the way?

if you had continued your search INSIDE the various boards you would have read that this is not yet possible.
the camera API has been released, so you can expect a video capturing program to be released in the future.

top stuff, any idea of the time frame of api to release app development on this? /me has cash just burning to pay for a vid recording app.
as surely it cant take that long to program for? cant be more annoying than dx9.0 api and sdk anyways lol

well since you've found a number of recording programs for the 7650, maybe you could contact the programmers and ask them if they're aware of the fact that there is a large number of users with p800s that are just waiting for an application like this!
then come back here and tell us all !!

re: video problems
to download mpegs on to this baby you have to download a little bit of software form the PV website called PV Author. This program compresses the mpeg to a much smaller size. You then just drag the file into your phone via explorer. Piece of piss.
Picture and sound quality aint great, but hey, i gotta whole 90minute movie on my phone now so i aint complaining!
