When I first got my T68i i was overwhelmed by how great it was.I had never seen a phone with more features more anything.None of my friends 3360's and 8390's compared to it. The T68i may be a great communications device but the phone part sucks. If I move my hand one bit I loose all of my service.I can not make a call without it dropping. I live in the U.S.A so I have heard that GSM in the U.S.A really sucks. I live in one of the most advanced GSM areas in the U.S.A. which is South Florida.You can't blame the horrible service on the natural terrain because it is flat. There are no hills. There are tall buildings but I never go into downtown. My mom has a 8390 and it isn't that great eitehr but at least it almost always has service.My dad has a T68i too and his gets horrible service. IT must be the phone. I am really looking foward to the T610 but if the reception isnt any better than I'm not getting it.So to all you people who love SE. I think they should think about the phone part of a cell phone before they think of the communication features.

GSM service is quite good in the Philippines and i believe T68i is the best pound-for-pound phone in the market today... until the release of the T610...

I think that SE has a quality control problem. T-Mobile sent me 3 refurbs in a row, none of which work.
Then I bought a brand new one, the YES key didn't work.
The next replacement, battery wouldn't come off.
Hmmmm.

@icedog445
Consider the issue of the network versus the phone.
I have a T68i with Rogers AT&T in Western Canada. I also have an on-call phone from the local stentor, forget the model but it has a real antenna.
Considering that in this part of this country, Rogers has less (different) signal strength combined with the T68i internal antenna, and I can vouch that the T68i as a phone is inferior to a less desireable, 'regular antenna'd phone. It's a tradeoff. The T68i also is VERY fu*(en difficult to use outside in the sunlight, whereas the older phones/screens are a delight.
I'm just saying that there are more factors than the phone itself. Unless you are on the same carrier with different model phones, it doesn't make send to say the T68i sucks, when in fact the carrier may easily be part or most of the problem.
If there is a anything un-argumentative to say, it would be to agree that the internal antenna idea, although slick and desireable, is quite obviously inferior when it comes to signal strength.
Just my 0.02.

I remember my T68 was better than others in good signal (or fairly good) but when it in bad signal "Sos Call only" will appear on the screen, i'll have to restart the phone then make a phone call, after it's over it goes back to Sos it used to fustraiting (The only bad signal area was the in the Gym i go to))

The network side, RF GSM 900M is much better than 1900M. North American 1900M carriers need more radio towers to get good radio coverage. You can get quite good signal if 850M got live. On the other hand, the carriers need more maintenance work coz GSM is a bit new there.
