I have a annoying problem with my P800 in conjunction with receiving and sending MMS messages.
When i receive a MMS message, the P800 connects with my GPRS MMS settings and fetches the MMS.. thats fine, but what's annoying is that it stays connected all the time.. it doesnt disconnect after it has downloaded the MMS message. I know about the GPRS Time-out setting, and i have this off, due to the fact that i use my GPRS connection frequently (several times a day) on my laptop, and i dont want the connection to disconnect all the time (the laptop may idle on the GPRS connection for 1-2 hours, doesnt matter, since the phone is in the dockingstation/charger anyway).
But when i'm on the move, and i get a MMS message, i have to manually disconnect all the time, cause otherwise the GPRS connection wont time-out, and thus - my battery becomes empty very fast..
any solution to this?
i have a old firmware though (i think.. its R1B), and maybe this is fixed in later firmware versions?
Is there a possibility to set the GPRS time-out setting individually for each GPRS/Internet account? if so - how? cause i haven't found such a setting.
tips/solution to this would be appreciated!
