Notebook (presario 1400) won't detect/reconize the sync station.I'm running on win ME. After installing the PC suite... and start synchronising... it wont detect the SyncStation and the p800. I tried clicking the 'Add New Hardware' ... it says (question mark) ? USB device. The device status message says 'The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28). To reinstall the drivers for this device. click reinstall’. I reinstall it again but still no hope. I also did disable my mcafee virus scan. I did everything and still get the same result. I even tried downloading the new PC Suite 1.4.2 Version …. It’s still not working …. Is there something I should do? Help!

Try the run msconfig and uncheck all init programs.
Then reboot with that config and try to install drivers again from the SE phone CD when asked by the Hardware install where to look.....
After msconfig again to reset all init programs active and reboot.
I had similar problem and this did the trick after all....

when i click the phone connection link from the try and tick on the USB COM5 it says 'it is not possible to enable the port, as it may be in use by another application'. But there's no another application enable with the port... *sigh*
