Hey,
I am new here but wanted to share my experiences with the community. Today is a boring Sunday and I just opened up my P800. Recently, I dropped it on concrete while I was doing ~10mph on my bike, and it slid about five yards on concrete. No functional damage though but the exterior suffered some scratches. As I strongly dislike the baby blue color I might paint it - or put on a mineral grey case when it becomes available.
But, anyway, I think you want to see the pictures. I don't know how to post them here but I can email them maybe or whatever you suggest.
Here's a short description of what I did:
remove battery cover and battery, remove stylus, remove strap if so equipped.
pry off blue cover around camera with fingernails
pry off cover below screen with same tool
remove four screws on back (torx 8)
position phone on your lap or on a soft cotton cloth, then pry open the sides with - you guessed it - fingernails until you hear SNAP and have about 500 tine mechanical and electrical parts flying across the place - DON'T WORRY it ain't as bad as it seems.
collect the parts and put them back in place, it can be easily concluded which part belongs where.
disconnect ribbon cable to display - in the lower left part of the PCB
remove two screws that hold PCB (torx 6)
take out PCB by prying apart the housing, the take out display the same way.
no big deal, took me about 10 minutes, and I am confident I'll get it back together.
Hope this helped someone here
Abel.

The power switch cover, the rubber cover for the camera and the jog dial came out, flying around energized by the impact of the housing snapping apart. i was really scared at first but then soon noticed that everything could be put together very easily. it is really no big problem to take it apart if you watch what you're doing.
