Now, I know there have been threads on this before but maybe we need one that is a bit more organized. Heres what Ive got so far.

1. Official SE Covers
2. Sms Counter.
3. The ability to record calls.
4. Ability to use Line 2.
5. T9 predictive text.
6. Contrast adjustment.
7. Birthday field in contacts, in sync with calendar.
8. Clock screensaver (on/off optional).
9. Option to hide number by default when calling.
10. Themes / color / background.
11. Video Recording with sound.
12. Zoom capability.
13. Alarms that go off even when Phone is off.
14. Improved and easier Bluetooth.
15. Ability to change buttons to specified options (for example “internet” button turns bluetooth on.)

Ok, now is there anything else? Please do not repost things that I have said here.

Better management of contacts sotred on the SIM card, for example to copy one number across and not the whole bloody lot.

Different themes/color/background profile is a definite.

I really want a cinema/theatre profile where my fone does a quiet but distinct cough rather than just vibrate.

as for the ability to record calls I thought you could with the voice memo function. havent tried it yet but if not the it really should. and should be accessable as easily as possible from the 'front end' whilst making a call not having to dig down to find it.

I disagree with the zoom function, move closer, A digital zoom sucks and is hardly worth it.

As for the improved bluetooth a defualt pairing (ie my PC) and the ability to automatically turn on when I want to send a file would be nice. the ability to send multiple files (pics mainly) in one go would be a godsend too.

T9 predictive text. I would prefer an autocomplete function with internal dictionary, that would be much faster than T9 or at least something in between would be nice. sincde when I last used T9 I had to scroll abit to find what I want. A short little menu showing the most commonly used and added words would be nice.

Making Handy day a defualt application where you can see your appointment/tasks/unread mesaages etc should have been included from the start.

also your last point on making the internet button a multifunction button where you can customise a short menu for various task, mainly turing bluetooth on/off (although see my point above) changing profiles ideally/voice memo when the phones on/etc. would be most welcome.

Finally I found myself really wanting to video my friends this weekend whilst out. I so want this function it hurts. Esp. since my friend can do this on his 7650 and thinks its a better phone than my P800. Some people just don't get it

Having second thoughts about what I posted. Well I still agree with what I said but I think the real point is more of those apps/functions listed its more a question of what should definitly be included on the p800 and what should be installable as third party apps/ free 'goodies' cd.

Unquestionably there should be more phone fuctions first IMO since I primarily use the p800 as a phone. other apps etc should come second and be more installed out of choice and personal need rather than wasting memory on functions/apps I don't need.

didn't make it possible to record calls because it is illegal!!

It is not legal before you get the accept from the caller in the other end of the line, and offcourse can't control that :/

You folks have come up with some good ideas for "improvements" but before that they need to FIX one great big screw up.

THERE IS NO UNDO IN MOST OF THE INCLUDED APPS.

This is the ONLY phone that i have had that the basic funtions do not have an undo Feature. I have ranted about this before.

Here is a scenario, you are editing a address record, and accidently swipe the stylus in such a way that you delete the contacts phone number. You find there is no undo to restore that (even more disasterous after painstakingly writing a whole email and loosing a huge chunk). so then you think ok, u will not save the changes u made, except the changes ARE saved, no confirmation, nothing. GRRRRRRRRR.... once a change is made, thats it. serious phone homicide approaching.. and then the final straw comes when you walk within 10 meters of your bluetooth enabled pc, and your phone helpfully and automatically connects to your computer, and it automatically sychronises... so your "backup" on outlook is also replaced with the mistake. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, phone heads towards the bin.

This scenario has happend to me, luckily i take backups, however ALL previous SE/Nokia phones I have owned ask if you wish to save the changes. The lack of undo would be excusable, if there was a way of rejecting changes., however neither feature exisits.

Second wish i would like to see is "hotfix" updates. so that you can "patch" the OS via small downloadable files to fix some quirks without havign to take it to a service center. This will be a good stopgap until we are able to flash ourselves. Even my ancient Palm supported this basic ability.

The P800 also needs an improved MP3 player - eg with a graphic EQ and playlist functions.

ALSO... The ability to easily REORDER THE MENU!
